Macphie Country Cake Mix is a versatile cake mix which can cope with the most generous amount of inclusions. Absolutely perfect for making traditional fruit cakes, cherry cakes and sultana cakes.
Place 1kg of Macphie Country Cake MixāĀ into a mixing bowl with the paddle attachment fitted. Mix for 1 minute on slow speed gradually adding 400g of water and 200g of vegetable oil. Scrape down, add inclusions as desired and mix for 6 minutes on middle speed followed by 1 minute on slow speed. Bake at 180 degrees (160 degrees if fan assisted) giving 50 - 60 minutes for an 800g gateaux, 40 - 50 minutes for a 400g loaf cake and 30 - 35 minutes for a 120g muffin.
